The bystanders

Promoting inclusion and belonging in the classroom and in the school

Target Audience:

Formal and informal educators, parents.

Training objectives:

Providing tools to motivate students towards social activism as part of the process of promoting inclusion and belonging, while discussing rights and responsibilities as a basis for action and social involvement.

Program Content:

During the meeting(s), we will analyze case studies, receive tools for class activities and its transition to an โ€˜active communityโ€™ on social issues, such as:โ€‹

  • Group membership- rights and responsibilities as a basis for action.
  • Creating an environment that encourages students to be active instead of passive.
  • Developing discourse and expressing opinions, creating an attentive and non-judgmental environment.
  • Self-advocacy and its contribution to the process of inclusion and belonging.
