The camp is tailored to all campers, including those with special needs.<\/h3><aside><h3>Summer camp which is also a family vacation<\/h3><p>In the summer camp, the families of special needs pupils also enjoy and participate.In addition, parents of special needs children face intensive care for their child&#8217;s needs every day and find it difficult to meet the more complex family leave expenses, both organizationally and financially. The Krambo Wings Summer Camp provides families with family formulation, rest and a shared experience.<\/p><\/aside><aside><h3>When does the summer camp take place and what happens in it<\/h3>The camp is held every year in August, at Kay Kay in Nahariya &#8211; the only resort in Israel with a large amount of wheelchair accessible rooms. Given the high demand of families, the summer camp is held in three cycles.Camp activities are modularly tailored to all participants, combining them together and individually into experiential and challenging recreational activities: pool activities, creative activities, sports, yoga, competitions, plays, shows, magicians, participant support groups and activities aimed at experiential formulation, both of their trainees and mentors. From general educationChildren with complex special needs find it difficult to develop social life because of challenges such as communication limitations, need of an accessible place for them and being &#8216;different&#8217;.<aside><h3>A bit about what happens in the branch activity<\/h3>Branch activity takes place weekly, in the afternoons, for about three hours, in a group-to-person mentoring model. Each trainee has two mentors who mediate the activities for him, get to know him and accompany him throughout the year.Campers and mentors work together for the community: Volunteers together, active in the Democratic institutions of the movement, going through activities and even vacationing together at a summer camp.<h3>A bit about what happens in the branch activity<\/h3>The movement sees the opening of new branches in the localities, a moral imperative and works to establish a branch in every city in Israel. The branch has up to 40 special needs children and about 100 youth who are mentoring them.The branches, which open on the physical and social periphery in Israel, are the result of cooperation of the movement with the local authorities, which allocate the accessible space for activities and help finance the transportation of special needs students, from their home to the branch and back.The movement works to recruit partners from Israel and overseas to establish new traffic branches. In each commune, 10-8 youth operate in a service year. The municipal activity plan is built together with the local authority in the space they are working.In the morning, service year activists are engaged in integrating children with special needs into schools in formal education and in the afternoon engaging in social activities in informal education, with at-risk youth and detached youth.
